This evening is dedicated to the greatest French Opera composers, appropriately being celebrated on July 14, Bastille Day. This not-to-be-missed concert features favorites of the repertoire including the “Habañera” from Carmen and the glorious Tenor-Baritone duet “Au fond du temple saint” from The Pearl Fishers. The evening begins with the dramatic “Divinités du Styx” from Gluck’s Alceste, (which can be heard in our Media section below) and ends with the tenor virtuoso aria “Ah! Mes amis, quel jour de fête!” from Donizetti’s Fille du Regiment featuring nine high C’s. Showcasing the next generation of opera stars: Alexandra Batsios – Soprano, Renée Rapier – Mezzo, Santiago Ballerini – Tenor, and Trevor Neal – Baritone, singing stunning arias and grand ensembles, French Opera Night includes masterpieces of the repertoire with a bit of Opéra Comique: Perfect for a summer evening!
